Survey Site Review: Opinion Outpost

Today I will review the survey site Opinion Outpost.

Getting Started:
Signing up for Opinion Outpost is free and easy to do. Once you have signed up it is highly recommend that you complete the profile surveys. The profile surveys are used to match you with any available surveys they get. There are currently 9 profile surveys to fill out that cover a wide range of topics. Each of the profile surveys will take you anywhere from 5 mins to 15 mins to fill out.

The members area has a nice layout making it easy to find what you are looking for. On the left side you have access to Available surveys, Your Profiles, Rewards, and Survey History just to name a few. Below is a screenshot of the Members Area interface.

Filling Out Surveys:
When a new survey is available for you to fill out you will receive an email and on the members area home page have access to the new survey(s). Also clicking on the Available Surveys on the left menu will give you a nice table view of the surveys giving you the name, status and number of Opinion Points its worth.

When you click on a survey to fill it out, it takes you to the correct website and you can begin to fill out the survey. As with most surveys they very in length and time to complete. Also you go through a series of qualifying questions. If you qualify you will continue with the survey once complete you will be awarded the number of Opinion Points. If you do not qualify you have the opportunity to try an Instant Win game worth $50.00, enter a sweepstakes or donate to a charity.

Pay Day:
When you complete a survey you will receive a number of Opinion Points, these points can be converted to cash. The conversion is 10 Opinion Points = $1.00. Most surveys will give you anywhere between 10 to 30 Opinion Points. You can request a check be sent to you once you have earned enough points for $5.00.

My Feedback:
So far I am very happy with Opinion Outpost, I have been a member for roughly 15 days and have already earned $15.50. I have yet to request a check be sent, I am waiting till 30 days has passed before doing that. I have done a lot of research on the survey sites that I have joined and this one gets the best ratings and personal recommendations. I will update this review once I have requested a payment and if I have received that payment or not. Also I am very happy with the number of surveys I have the opportunity to fill out, which averages about 1 day. Opinion Outpost is one of the few survey sites that allow for referrals. You can use their referral interface by adding in email addresses of people you want to refer and they will send them an email. You will be credited 10 Opinion Points for each referral that registers and fills out at least one survey.

So for all of you who are reading this if you wish to join Opinion Outpost please allow me to refer you, send me your email address and I will enter into their referral section.

Survey Sites

The Basics:
I have signed up for several survey sites to help maximize my earning potential. All of the survey sites are free to sign up and some also give you a one time sign up bonus. Most of the survey sites have profiles that need to be filled out. The profiles are like mini surveys used to gather information about you on a number of topics. The more profiles you fill out the higher your chances are of receiving a survey to fill out.

When you receive a survey to fill out it will ask you a number of qualifying questions based on your answers you will move on to answer the survey or not be qualified, most of the survey sites will give you an entry into a sweepstakes or some kind of instant win game for not qualifying for a survey. If you do qualify for a survey they can take any where from 5 minutes to 30 minutes to complete. Once completed a survey will be worth anywhere from $1.00 to $5.00 or some equivalent in points.

The survey sites vary in terms of cashout options. Some will send you a check, pay you via paypal, or have other rewards setup such as gift certificates or merchandise purchases.

Most survey sites do not have a referral program. Some do have a minor referral program, when I start my reviews of each of the survey sites I am currently an active member of I will let you know if they have some kind of referral program.

Introduction

First let me thank you for coming to my blog about my Work At Home Experiences. I hope that you will find the information helpful to you. This blog will contain information from my experience and from other sources I have read about working at home.

First a little bit about me; I am 33 years old work full time (and then some) as a Sales Engineer for a small software company. A good portion of my salary is based on commissions and with the current economy sales have been down. So I thought why not look into doing some work at home jobs to help offset some of the losses in my normal pay. Which brings us to this blog and what I have started to do.

I will tell you that this is not a get rich quick scam or even to make a full time salary working from home, this is my experience on a couple of avenues to earn a little extra cash every month. My expected goal for each month is between 100 and 200 dollars. Again this is my current way of making money working at home using the internet. Their are several other ways of making more money that I may pursue at a later time.

The two paths I am currently taking to earn some extra cash are:

Online Surveys
Pay to Click ads or PTC

The Plan
My plan for the first few months is to roll the money earned from the Online Surveys into buying extra referrals for the PTC sites, focusing on one site at a time. Everything that I have read so far when dealing with PTC sites is to increase the number of referrals that you have in order to maximize your earnings. All of the PTC sites I have joined have either a program to buy or rent referrals.

Once I have that one PTC sites referrals high enough that it is making a steady income I will then upgrade to a premium member package for that site. Most PTC sites also have a premium member package which usually offers higher pays per click for both you and what you get from your referrals.
